Typo Scene

TypoScene Final
Day 2

In this Assignment, we had to continue with the typography by adding a scene to our previous project the "Typo Object". I was expected to produce a type scene around my typo object by using the pen tool and envelope distort. I was also expected to add colors to the letters. My final product is unfinished. I used The element "Line" by utilizing the pen tool to create my outline of my desired shape. I aslo used the element " Value" by changing the opacity of the color. I used the Principle "Repetition" by duplicating the letters to fill in the shape that i created with the pen tool and by envelope distorting it. My final design somewhat represent my sketch. It's just unfinished. Overall, I really had a hard time on this project because most of the time, I just couldn't get the result that I want with the envelope distort. I hate this project. I hate you Mr. Young...

Art Show Possibilities

Day 2

Day 3

Day 4
Day 5 Final

In this project, I had to create an artwork to submit for an art show. We were allowed to use both photoshop and illustrator CS3. I was expected to produce a well designed, eye-catching art to submit to an art show. I was also expected to produce something original. We were allowed to use any tools on both  photoshop and illustrator. My final product is a mirrored self illustration of me. One looking to the right on the left side of the picture and one looking to the left on the right side of the picture. And for my background, I used a picture of my school building with the "welcome clippers" banner and with also a sun shining to represent daytime on the left side . On the other side, I used a moon and stars to represent nighttime. I used the smudge tool as a boundary in the middle. I dressed up my self illustration that's looking to the left as an assassin/ninja and added different eyes that I found online. I used four elements of art: Line, Shape, Colour, and Value. I used the element "Line" by utilizing the pen tool in Adobe illustrator CS3. I used "Shape" by using the ellipse tool to draw the eyes. I used "Colour" by applying colors to my self illustration. And finally, I used "Value" by changing the opacity of the color of my skin tones. I used two principles of design: Gradation and Contrast. I used "Gradation" on my self illustration. You can see my skin tone gradually changes from a darker color to a lighter color. I used "Contrast" by using the opposite colors. For example, I used White and black as my background color. I didn't have any sketch for this project. It just came to my mind. NINJAS RULE!

Zombified

Original
Day 1
Day 2

Day 3 Final

Extra Day
 Here's the story....
Scientists experimented on a deceased vampire. They injected the body with all kinds of sh*t right? and then one day. I guess it came back to life and ate the scientists. The End.
Pros: Super fast, Super Strength and all that other good stuff.

Cons: Doesn't have a brain like a zombie.

In this assignment, I had to take a picture of myself and transform that picture into a zombie by using photoshop CS3. I was expected to produce a scary zombie picture of myself by taking parts of images online and overlaying them on top of my picture and by messing with the layer styles. My final product is a Zombie/Vampire. I look really pale and blue-ish. I have black/gray make-up surrounding the eyes. My eyes are light blue and it's bleeding. My mouth is open with blood around it and my teeth are sharp. I added a picture of my hand and made my nails sharp by utilizing the smudge tool. As for my background, I used a picture of an old version hospital chair/bed. I used the Element "Value" by changing the tone of a color like my skin. I used "Gradation" by utilizing the soft edge brush tool and paint parts of the picture with black  for the shadows so it won't appear with solid edges. We didn't have a sketch for this project. Overall, I really had fun doing this project. I Love Horror!

Self Reflection: Typo Object

In this assignment, we had to create an object of our choice by using the pen tool and envelope distort. I was expected to produce a complete typo object of my own by just using the pen tool to trace my sketch and convert the text into an outline and envelope distort it. My final product is incomplete because I had to re-sketched my chucky on our 2nd day of day 5. I don't know what else there is to say about an incomplete typo object. I used three elements of arts: Line, Size, and Value. I used "Line" by utilizing the pen tool to create a line. I used "Size" by simply resizing some text from big to small. I used "Value" by messing with the opacity of the text. I used the principle "Repetition" by duplicating the text to fill the inside of my outlines. My final design accurately represent my sketch but then it don't because it's incomplete.
